Stand on Trade Agreements means Trump an anti-Fascist

Cap Times (1 April 2016)

On a recent local radio show, the guest host and a local political activist had a conversation about Donald Trump being a fascist and an insider, but they didn’t define their terms.
Benito Mussolini, whom they mentioned in passing, explained that fascism is the merger of big government with big business and could be called “corporatism.”
One of the presidential candidates does support corporatism, which is embodied by the North American Free Trade Agreement — NAFTA — and the Trans-Pacific Partnership — TPP. But that candidate is Hillary Clinton, not Donald Trump. Trump has denounced NAFTA and the TPP, which are the embodiment of New World Order corporatism. That makes him an anti-fascist. Hillary is a consummate Washington insider; Trump is not. The radio host and guest got it backward.
The American people have yet to awaken to what the TPP would mean for the USA. It poses the greatest threat to the integrity of the republic in our history, where a board of corporate attorneys could override the laws and statutes of any of the nations encompassed by the agreement, including the United States Constitution.
Trump’s style lends itself to criticism and ridicule. Brash and outspoken, he seems to be the antithesis of an American politician, largely because he isn’t one. Hillary comes across as the adult in the race, but there are some disturbing aspects to her history and past performance that are worth taking into account:
* Hillary has supported NAFTA and the World Trade Organization, which were introduced by her husband, Bill, but have had devastating effects on our economy.
* While she now claims she no longer supports it, in the past Hillary has described the TPP as “the gold standard” of trade agreements.
* As secretary of State, she was the motivating force behind NATO’s attack on Libya, which has turned that society to chaos.

* She has facilitated her husband’s sexual abuse of other women by going after them to protect him from the consequences of his actions.
* Experts have observed that her casual use of emails represents a far more serious violation of national security than the public appreciates.
* Hillary has long stood with other neo-cons in the administration and appears to be far more hawkish than Trump (though not as bad as Ted Cruz).
Confirmation can be easily found if you know where to look. For example, I discussed the destruction of Libya with Jimmy and Joanne Moriarty for two hours on “The Real Deal Ep #147 Hillary’s Benghazi and the Destruction of Libya.” It was a tragedy of unimaginable proportions. And Roger Stone’s book, “The Clintons’ War on Women” (2015), is simply devastating.

Those who are looking beneath the blizzard of attacks on Donald Trump know that the reality is actually very different than the illusion:
* He is opposed to NAFTA and the TPP. Where the former gutted our manufacturing and industrial base, the latter would finish it off.
* He has condemned the invasion of Iraq and wars in the Middle East, which have cost us $4-$5 trillion and produced only chaos.

* He has proposed measures to bring immigration under control, including a temporary ban on Muslims and a better fence with Mexico.
* He is galvanizing interest across the board, drawing independents and blue-collar Democrats to the GOP for the first time since Reagan.
* He is a nationalist and a populist, who wants to improve the lives of working men and women, and qualifies as a non-interventionist.
* The establishment on both sides is alarmed, because Trump is not under their control. He is self-financing and beholden to none.
The demonization of Trump has been designed to distract the attention of the public from the major changes he would bring about. A financial expert has reported that the transformation he represents would be on the order of the New Deal brought to America by FDR. It would be historic and profound.
There are no flawless candidates in this race for president of the United States. Far too many liberals and progressives regard Hillary as unblemished and Trump as a fascist who would introduce an American Fourth Reich. Those are illusions, not reality. We need to know our candidates’ strengths as well as their weaknesses.

  1. "Republican Party, talking about hundreds of billions of dollars in tax breaks for the top two tenths of 1 percent, cuts to Social Security and Medicare, Medicaid, a party which with few exceptions, doesn’t even acknowledge the reality of climate change, let alone do anything about it, a party which is not prepared to stand with women in the fight for pay equity, a party that is not prepared to do anything about a broken criminal justice system or a corrupt campaign finance system, I think, to be honest with you — and I just don’t, you know, say this rhetorically, this is a fringe party. It is a fringe party. Maybe they get 5, 10 percent of the vote.

What you really need in this country is a progressive party standing with the working class and the middle class of this country. And yes, a conservative party that, you know, has, you know, is more fiscally conservative. That is where we should be as a country.

But the Republican Party today now is a joke, maintained by a media which really does not force them to discuss their issues." Bernie Sanders to MSNBC Rachel Maddow. Correct here on all but "climate change" belief. Let the GOP implode. Trump will do it for them. Let them. Even though I agree with a wall and better borders. But I do knowing conspiracy of CIA and Mi5 and so on and full detriment of trade deals sneaking in things bad for the nations.

  2. "The New York Times is deluded enough to think that the United States has been devoted to free trade for 200 years. In reality, our first Secretary of the Treasury Alexander Hamilton of New York was a committed protectionist, mercantilist, and dirigist. He oversaw the creation of the First Bank of the United States, the funding of the US public debt, and fought to make the Tariff of 1789 as protectionist as possible. Henry Clay of Kentucky, the leader of the Whig Party, fought to implement the American System of Political Economy with a revived National Bank, a robust program of national infrastructure, and a protective tariff. Clay was the main mentor of Abraham Lincoln, during whose administration protectionist forces in the new Republican Party led by Congressman Justin Morrill of Vermont raised the tariff to an average of 47%. Morrill was advised by the celebrated Republican economist, Henry Carey of Philadelphia."

  3. TPP: best discussion of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-JS541z4mY

And an attempt to say trade agreements are "trade" agreements in fact and help trade and jobs: http://qz.com/611042/donald-trump-and-bernie-sanders-are-both-wrong-about-the-trans-pacific-partnership

And a better way (proper tariffs and them explained): http://tarpley.net/afl-cio-must-lead-a-campaign-for-protective-tariff

These are excellent on both sides.

  4. I agree that hiring (through Soros) various saner voices to become insanely disruptive at the Trump rallies was fascistic, too, or shall we say, establishment tactics instead. That is regular conspiracy stuff.

  5. "When Hitler came to power in Germany in 1933, he talked of MAKING GERMANY GREAT AGAIN. He suggested that he could restore national pride and dignity and tear up the treaty of Versailles without war.

    […]
Trump claims to be opposed to the military adventurism which has embroiled the United States in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Libya, and elsewhere, but ****his Middle East advisor, Waleed Fares, is an Islamophobe neocon closely linked to figures like John Bolton and Pamela Geller.*****

Given his infantile mentality, Trump would be very easy to provoke into large-scale catastrophic military actions.

Many Americans have been disoriented by Trump’s demagogic statements of friendship for Russian President Putin. […]

Trump is already started demonizing Putin in some of his television ads. Today, the stakes of war and peace are far greater than they were 80 years ago. No one in their right mind wants to allow Donald Trump’s psychotic finger anywhere near the thermonuclear button."

  6. "Fascism Masquerades As Radical Anti-Establishment Protest

Bankers turn to fascism when they can no longer get their austerity, anti-union, tax cut, rearmament, corporate welfare, and anti-worker demands passed into law by existing political parties.

The art of being a fascist demagogue comes down to this: you must be able to present yourself as a radical alternative to the existing political and financial system controlled by Wall Street, while at the same time avoiding any serious commitment to reform measures which would cause sacrifice or even inconvenience for the Wall Street finance oligarchs."

I could not have put it better. But Activist Angel, I am very happy you are so good on your show. Thank you.

  7. Agreed here:

Fascism – The Organized Violence and Terrorism of the 1% Against the People; Carried Out by Demagogues and Goons in the Service of Wall Street; To Understand Trump, Study the Mussolini Of 1921-22 and the Hitler of 1923 – Not Fascism in Power, but Fascism Struggling to Seize Power

    ———-

I am fully aware of Trump. Watch "You've been Trumped" movie. Real Trump is an antisocial man, insecure and blustery; a Donald Rumsfeld "I get things done" man on steroids with no class, and class warfare would be intense. Say good bye to income equality measures such as discussion of offshore accounts, free education, union rights, Tax of Wall Street.

Not a darling of establishment? Establishment reactionaries usually like fascistoid wreckers who toe a fake line … not those who bring in utter destruction of a country openly. Until it comes up for real and then they're for it.

  8. BS about splitting and hating 1/3-1/4 of Americans and those on the soil as "deserving", and women (ooh, I fall into that group, uh oh!) — he is police state a la Romania but with dumbness (no he's not smart) — and … ?
Against war? He foments war on your soil, in his bungling version of Fascism.
He's not establishment; he's not friends with the old guard. That doesn't make him BETTER. He would not know who brought down the towers. He would be reined in or his children would be dead.
I agree with Tarpley about GOP Trump.
And watch for false flags. Note below.
    ————–

In the two weeks following the Brussels terror attacks, an important sea-change has occurred in American politics, to the detriment of the demagogic candidacy of Donald Trump. Those overseas events gave the Queens billionaire the opportunity to pose as a statesman and de facto Lord Protector of the American people, in much the same way that Oliver Cromwell posed as the protector of England in the seventeenth century. Trump wasted his opportunity to win over the Republican oligarchs and elite donor class, instead choosing to roll in the mud of attacks on rivals’ wives, the cad Lewandowsky, and police state measures to suppress abortions.

Recent polling highlights the pervasive unpopularity of Trump outside of the crazed and narrow confines of the GOP. It is therefore of compelling interest when a Republican consultant like the sophist Frank Luntz is quoted in the press speaking of how an outside event of terrorism could suddenly turn the tide in favor of Trump as dictator later this year:

‘Frank Luntz, an unaligned GOP pollster, said Trump could erase at least some his deficit if he capitalizes on the fall debates and other events, noting that history is littered with examples of candidates doing just that.3 “The big moments cause people to change,” Luntz said. “And let’s face it, we may have a moment outside of conventions and debates that’s even bigger. If you have a Paris or a Brussels on American soil, that can completely change the dynamic.”’

Americans need to go on RED ALERT to prevent this from happening!
Frank Luntz should be invited to tell exactly what he knows.

  9. Hi Clare, how nice to have you in the discussion. One thing we love about Jim is he listens to real criticism (and fake stuff unfortunately).
The real "brownshirts" are the hired thugs creating violence at Trumps rallies. The tactic of not letting people even speak or be heard is the real brownshirt tactic. Trump is a showman, as am I, and I believe he is a secret truther, and that's why the bribed and blackmailed pedo elite are so afraid of him. Remember, Carl Rove and Dick Cheney don't like him.
He has told us he will tell us who really brought down the towers, he knows vaccines aren't what they say they are, he is against war and pro diplomacy, and the only lie I have ever heard him tell is when he says he is anti-choice; I would tell that lie too to get the Republischmuck nomination. He only "bullies" those who deserve it, and doesn't distinguish between men and women, which makes him the least sexist candidate out there.
This blog recently got moderated, and now there is room for smart people like you.

  10. Oh Jim my friend … truthtelling must be balanced. Of course Trump stands as "weird" Republican for being against TPP, yes, but his whole policy standard is fascistic, and he lies and bullies. Please: he may be blackshirt fascism and still have lies about him, while Hillary is brownshirt fascism (classical Liberal economics in England, really, was enfranchisement of owners and rich instead of old owners and rich, the landed, but it was not for the average folk). I know you got angry at Tarpley, but his analysis of Trump is more to the point about the implosion (thank God) of the moribund GOP, and how Hillary is Wall Street Liberalism (classic Liberal economics, I mean), so the Democrats have to have the real contender in there … Bernie as FDR, though he is mistaken on some things. That is why a new false flag could happen … http://tarpley.net/gop-operatives-eye-terrorism-as-possible-outside-event-to-save-republican-ticket/ — and http://tarpley.net/gop-operatives-eye-terrorism-as-possible-outside-event-to-save-republican-ticket/ Best wishes, Jim, from me with love, your "best critic" as you always said.

  11. This is all about who, whom. Trump is speaking up for the interests of ordinary Americans. The establishment doesn't like that. Anyone who can help assert the interests of ordinary Americans (middle and working class whites, in particular) is a threat to the establishment, and therefore a "fascist." Fascists have a way of helping one group of people at the expense of another. Mussolini took over the banks and outlawed Freemasonry. This is what fascism means to our establishment: someone taking control from them and giving it to someone else.

    Arthur S.

  12. "* The establishment on both sides is alarmed, because Trump is not under their control. He is self-financing and beholden to none." (Fetzer)

NOT true – they are ALL beholden to the Zionist Slimeballs in Tel Aviv and infesting the "Israel Lobby" in Wash. DC!

  13. Trump (Drumpf) and Sanders are typical Zionist Slimeballs. Hellary and Ted Cruz are Zionist Slimeballs IN-SPADES! They will all crawl up "Bibi" Nutsanyahoo's rear end as far as they can go! All the pre-Selection theatrics are a HOAX – Hellary has already been SELECTED by the Zionist Slimeballs in Tel Aviv and the Zionist Slimeballs infesting the "Israel Lobby".

  14. Absolutely outstanding observations Dr. Fetzer. Your command of the English language and commitment to integrity and truth is simply admirable and commendable. Thank you for your work. You are an inspiration.
