There are elements of Greek tragedy about the way Trump is falling.
No matter what he does now, his fate is sealed.
By seeking to double down in a vain attempt to save himself he will only fall faster
It would be appropriate to feel pity for Donald Trump if he were not so blatantly incapable of any sign of pity or remorse himself. The man appears completely immune to anything approaching self-awareness or even the remotest belief that it is possible for him to make a mistake or do wrong. Every action of Trump’s is always initiated with and always followed up by self-praise and blustering rages at anyone who issues the slightest criticism. It is simply impossible to feel pity for such a terminally arrogant and hatefully vicious creature as he so obviously is.
Yet Trump is going down to a condition where some may well be tempted to feel sorry for the wretch. It is becoming ever more obvious that his ending will rival the most tragic of Greek tragedies. There will be no saving grace for this thoroughly obnoxious tyrant. He will collapse and fall stage by ignominious stage no matter what he does to try to salvage anything of what he thought he had gained by becoming U.S. president. That is all going to slip totally from his soon-to-be helpless hands.
The surprise presentation of his wife Melania on her “non-existent” relationship with Jeffrey Epstein is a sign among many that those who once thought a close relationship with Trump was a safe ticket to whatever the sought, will soon leave him standing alone as if fleeing from a bad smell. The rats will start to leave the sinking shit of state that is Donald Trump. In due course it will only be the remaining fascists like Lindsey Graham who will stick around too braindead to realise they can only be tarnished further the longer they remain.
It is just possible that Trump might have emerged as a half-decent president who did his best and failed… if he had not sealed his fate by his symbiotic relationship with the genocidal maniacs of Israel. In these days when he can surely see the damage this has done him he embarks on an attempt to win fundamental Christians to his side. This misguided venture by posting an image of himself as a Christlike figure has rebounded on him badly. His deep and abiding ignorance ensures it will not be the last time he makes such a mistake.
It is universally accepted by every independent analyst that Trump made the greatest mistake of any U.S. president in history by attacking Iran in the way he has. Double the eventual virtual 100% unpopularity of this and the deaths it has caused by the almost equal unpopularity of his alliance with the murderous Israelis. That he compounds both errors by forever doubling down will damn him even further in the eyes of not only those in the USA but by the entire global community of nations and their entire populations.

Creeping senility is also playing its part in Donald Trump’s downfall. Even if now we see only the first signs how likely is it that he will soon demonstrate much the same frailties that he endlessly mocked Joe Biden for? The way Trump is acting in increasingly irrational and out of control ways this prospect looks very likely indeed.
All things considered we can see that Trump, despite signs of a contrary outcome initially when he had the wind at his back and the good will of millions supporting him, will be one of the biggest loser across any field of endeavour at any time in recent memory. His downfall, which now looks completely certain, will be immense and humiliating to a degree that in earlier times would have resulted in banishment. With all his inhumanity, all his untrammelled arrogance, vicious attacks on his critics and his endless egotism this not a man worthy of pity. He will go down to scorn, treated as a global pariah and abandoned by all.
